2015 Annual Staff Recognition Breakfast

Each year, we’re challenged to transform the John Tonkin Water Centre’s undercover carpark into a colourful, festive and fun environment; serving breakfast to 900 staff members.

Project Scope

The Water Corporation hosts an annual employee recognition breakfast to thank their workforce. Each year, we’re challenged to transform the John Tonkin Water Centre’s undercover carpark into a colourful, festive and fun environment; serving breakfast to 900 staff members.

Our Action

Impact Communications, in consultation with the Client, develops a new theme for the breakfast each year. For the most recent event we brought the car park alive with a party atmosphere to celebrate a decade of achievement; filling the space with large bunches of balloons, colourful table clothes and creating an arcade game zone complete with air hockey and foosball tables. For those who just wanted to relax, 3 Minute Angels were on hand to provide massages. A ten year timeline was produced to showcase a decade of achievements and this was displayed for staff to reminisce.

The BBQ breakfast served 900 hungry guests and was complemented with tasty pastries and freshly brewed tea and coffee.

Onstage a talented Perth band, The Howie Morgan Project, entertained guests with their chilled out acoustic music, playing popular cover songs for the duration of the event.

The morning wrapped up with a speech by the Water Corporation’s CEO.

The Impact

The Water Corporation’s annual employee recognition has seen attendance increase as has positive feedback from staff, the organisers and the CEO. The breakfast has also successfully achieved the Client’s goal to boost staff morale.
