Impact Communications is a Western Australian owned business established in 1987.
Our purpose is to deliver integrated communications, marketing and event management services for government and private sector clients — creating awareness, shaping opinion and helping organisations achieve their goals.
About Impact

Impact Communications has been part of Western Australia’s communications and events landscape for more than 30 years. We know what it takes to bring people together, share messages that matter and deliver projects that run smoothly from start to finish.

We’re a small team with deep experience across strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and event management. Our clients range from government and business through to community organisations — all trusting us to make their projects clear, creative and stress-free.

What we bring is simple: fresh ideas, strong processes and a down-to-earth approach. Whether it’s a major campaign, a community consultation or a one-off event, we make sure the right message reaches the right people in the right way.

After three decades, our passion is still the same — helping clients communicate with confidence and create a lasting impact.
History
Impact Communications has a long family history. The business was originally founded and managed by Les and Linley Buchanan, who built its reputation for quality, professionalism and reliable delivery across public relations, communications and event management. Under their leadership, Impact grew into a respected consultancy, known for its strong work ethic and commitment to clients.

In 2014, Jon and Chris Buchanan became joint directors of Impact Communications. Bringing with them fresh ideas, new energy and a contemporary approach to communications, Jon and Chris have continued to strengthen the company while staying true to its founding values. They have expanded Impact’s expertise into areas such as stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, campaign management and large-scale event delivery, ensuring the business remains relevant and responsive to client needs.

Today, Impact Communications is a close-knit team with a broad mix of skills in communications strategy, stakeholder engagement, event management, design and project delivery. This combination of experience and creativity allows us to provide clients with a highly personalised service while managing complex projects with ease.

What has remained constant throughout the company’s history is our commitment to building strong relationships, delivering quality outcomes and ensuring every project — big or small — is managed with care and attention to detail. It is this mix of history, experience and innovation that continues to set Impact Communications apart.
